What is Drop In Childcare?

 

Drop-in/short-term care is defined by North Carolina Law in General Statute 110-86(2)(d)(d1) as a child care arrangement where care is provided while parents participate in activities that are not employment related, and where the parents are on the premises or otherwise easily accessible.

 

Do I need to make a reservation before my children’s visit?

 

No reservations are necessary. However, we do ask that you call ahead to ensure availability for our Parent Night Out events and other special activities.

 

Employee qualifications?

 

We require our employees to have at least 2 years of childcare experience, undergo criminal & federal background check, an active CPR/First Aid Certification, & complete a reference check for 3 professional references.

 

Payment types accepted?

We accept all major Credit & Debit Cards or Cash.

 

How long can my child stay?

 

For our Drop In Childcare, Baby Buddies/Toddler Time Program, & After school program, you are only able to receive four hours of care on a regular basis. NC regulations define a regular basis as at least one time per week. Please limit your time to less than once per week on average. Does not apply to Summer Camp programs and other recreational activities.

What if I need more than 4 hours of care?

​

On an occasional basis you are able to receive more than 4 hours, but not on a consistent basis. Example Monday you need 6 hours, you can not make it a consistent arrangement, for every Monday to receive 6 hours of care.

What do I need to bring?

​

For children who are not potty trained, pampers/pull ups and wipes, a change of clothes, and breakfast or lunch if you do not plan for your child to eat the meal/snack provided by our team. Masks are required for children ages 2+. Sippy Cup for children ages 3 and under.

Additional Information to help your child's stay with us:

​

+ Circle Time begins at 10AM each day.


+ Lunch is included in your child’s stay and provided at 11:45AM each day. Breakfast is also available until 10AM each morning (please inform us at arrival if you would like your child to receive breakfast)


+ Quiet Time is from 12:30PM-2:30PM each day. We recommend a blanket or sleeping bag with pillow, for your child to be comfortable throughout this time. We do not allow arrivals during this time frame.


+ Sippy Cup is recommended for children ages 3 and under to allow a comfortable stay.


+ MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR CHILDREN AGES 2+

 

My child needs medication during the time of the stay.

 

Kreative Kidz NC, LLC. Does not administer medication to children. However in the event of an allergic reaction, our staff are epipen trained.
