Meet Our Staff

Hello Parents!

Here are the individuals behind the scenes who ensure that each of your childcare needs are met! We find fulfillment in helping others, especially parents, be worry free! Starting out, this business last year, we had no idea that God would allow our purpose in a family’s lives to go this far! Giving parents in the RDU and surrounding areas a needed service, where we think outside the box with activities during services and care deeply about a child's development! We value an open, personal relationship between us, our team of sitters, and parents who we serve, because as we are parents ourselves, we understand the security and sensitivity that stands between a parent and their child! To all our parents who have trusted in us to fulfill your needs, thank you for all your support! We look forward to continuing lasting relationships and meeting the childcare needs of many more parents!

Ms. Kay Thompson
Assistant Drop In Director- In Training

Hello, my name is Kelakanesia Thompson, often known as Ms. Kay. I started working with children at the age of 14 as a neighborhood babysitter, this went on for about 4 years before I crossed into the child care field professionally. I have been doing work around childcare centers (volunteering, floating, teaching, assisting, etc) for almost 4 years now.  I absolutely love working with children, they truly brighten my day, as children are always so happy and carefree! When I’m working with children it’s like I’m in another world, surrounded by love & happiness, even with fussy babies and difficult children, it gives me a challenge & pulls me back into reality some because not all children are the same. I am currently a college senior studying Human Development & Family Sciences with a concentration in Child Development. My favorite to do with children is arts and crafts! As it is fun, easy, and is a good way to sharpen your artistic skills, art also if a great way to allow children to express themselves.

Setericka Kennon
Mobile Service Nanny

Hello! I am Setericka and I am a mother of a 7 year old boy. He’s my heart and soul and I can't imagine life without him. We were both born and raised in a small city of Goldsboro, NC. I have been working with children for more than 17 years with beginning with a family-friend's child with the help of my mom and later began more professional experience with interning my senior year of high school with a program called 4-H

When relocating to another job I worked my way up from a sub teacher to an early head start teacher. I was there for four years and in between that time many of the staff helped me with developing a CDA (Child Development Associate), EDU-119 credentials, FirstAid/CPR and many training associating with young children.

Not too long ago I relocated to Durham with my son for a new start, while here I have received a BSAC (Basic School Age Care) certificate. Looking to start fresh and get back into doing one-on-one care with families to work hands on with their child(ren). I have been in the childcare field for about eleven years now and throughout this journey I have learned and am still learning a variety of things. Every child is not the same and they learn in many different ways. I always say give and show a child as much love and respect, because you never know what that child may be going through.

While working with young children I love to come up with multiple activities, art & crafts, cooking/mixing, mind crafts and more. I am looking to get back into school to further my career in Early Childhood Education. In the meantime I am looking to offer my services to help build families!
